My name is Trevor Gates, and I am the EVP of Finance for RWM Home Loans. We are a mid‐size independent mortgage bank formed in 1994 with our corporate offices in San Diego, CA. We currently originate loans and have offices across multiple states.
We have been a member of Lenders One® since 2009 and have deemed our membership essential. In fact, we attribute much of our success to the relationships and information obtained by being a member for so many years. We have also been the beneficiary of the many reseller services that have been offered to us through the membership. Currently we take advantage of services including verifications, flood, compliance, legal and credit. All obtained through the relationships created by this great organization. Absolute Home Mortgage is a mid-sized independent mortgage banker based out of Fairfield, NJ. We employ 550 individuals. Absolute has been a member of Lenders One® for almost two years. In this time Lenders One® has provided significant value to our organization including but not limited to:
- Re negotiations and lowering the cost of vendor contracts already in place
- Providing insight and relationship access to new software and technology
- Assisting with the outsourcing of services through other Altisource business outlets such as Trelix.

In the past 24 months Absolute has increased its size and production from 50 Million per month in residential volume to over 250 Million per month. Cliffco is a member of the Lenders One® Cooperative and our level of success is largely related to our Lenders One® membership. As the Operations Manager, it is my responsibility to ensure the services we utilize are of the highest efficiency, but also at the best value.
There are many different providers that offer the same products in our industry. The Caveat is that they all provide the same products in different ways, at different prices. Knowing that the product options from Lenders One® “beats the competition” by price and efficiency by far has routinely given me the assurance that no longer need to “shop for the best deal” like our clients often do! LOS integrations, faster turn times, customizable options, and best of all, the support we receive are all above and beyond the significant cost savings we receive. By being able to purchase these reseller services at a fraction of the industry standard cost, we have been able to significantly lower our origination cost per loan. In turn, offering even more aggressive pricing to the consumer while maintaining our margins and increasing volume as a direct result of it.
Our purchase transactions have increased 18-22% as a direct result of the benefits our Lenders One® membership has afforded us. We look forward to Lenders One® being able to provide even more reseller services which we can purchase aside from the current, Flood Cert, Fraud Report, SSA89 Processing, 4506T Processing, Website Development and others.

During this time, I have been able to turn to fellow Lenders One® members. Six years ago, over a dozen members and I began to meet twice a year at the National and Secondary MBA conferences. Upon the onset of the pandemic, we’ve been meeting weekly to share best practices to address the obstacle of the week. My company NJ Lenders and I would be lost without this group, and it is a testament to the connections I’ve forged with Lenders One® peers.
What I have found with Lenders One® members, even though we’re all competitors, is people are willing to share, hence why you cannot put a price tag on the value of this cooperative.
Lenders One® is a tremendous resource when things are good but invaluable during times of trouble. Whether it was HVCC, TRID, LO Comp, and now COVID, the co-op is powerful because you’re not doing it alone, and Lenders One® has provided the content and connections needed to address each of these challenges.
