Robert Sowers
Relationship Manager, Affordable Lending Team, Fannie Mae
Robert Sowers is a Relationship Manager on Fannie Mae’s Affordable Lending Team. He manages relationships with Housing Finance Agencies (HFA’s) and Community Development Financial Institutions ( CDFI’s ). Since joining Fannie Mae, he has led various Duty to Serve initiatives focused on increasing liquidity in Rural Markets and to Small Financial Institutions. He works tirelessly with community-based partners to execute on Fannie Mae’s Affordable Housing objectives. Working within the Affordable Lending & Housing Equity Team affords Robert the ability to continue his passion of “People Helping People”.
Throughout his 20+-year Mortgage career Robert has worked in a wide range of positions in Single Family Lending. Prior to joining Fannie Mae he was an Account Executive within a Mortgage CUSO ( Credit Union Service Organization) assisting Credit Unions on Loan Delivery, Business & Product Development as well as Community Lending Programs.
In his free time Robert loves the outdoors, especially spending time at the beach with his family & friends. He also is an avid Martial Artist & Mountain Biker.
